Dr. Katrine Zhiroff joined Los Angeles Cardiology Associates in 2012. She is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Medicine and Interventional Cardiology. Dr. Zhiroff also has additional expertise and board certification in specialized cardiovascular imaging such as echocardiography, nuclear medicine and cardiac CT.
Dr. Zhiroff completed her undergraduate work at UCLA in Physiological Sciences and graduated with highest honors (Summa Cum Laude). She received her MD degree from UCSD School of Medicine. Dr. Zhiroff completed internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Harbor UCLA Medical center at the top of her class and was selected to serve as Chief Resident in Internal Medicine. Then, she went on to complete her training in Cardiovascular Medicine and Interventional Cardiology at the Good Samaritan/Harbor UCLA program.
Dr. Zhiroff's professional interests include transradial artery catheterization, complex coronary artery interventions, treatment of peripheral artery disease and critical limb ischemia, endovascular treatment of diseases of the deep venous system. She has received multiple teaching awards and is one of the clinical faculty in the Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at Good Samaritan Hospital/Harbor UCLA Medical Center. Dr. Zhiroff is also involved with community outreach programs to raise awareness of Cardiovascular Disease in Women.
Dr. Zhiroff practices Cardiology and performs Cardiovascular Interventions at Good Samaritan Hospital, St Vincent Medical Center and Cedars Sinai Medical Center. She is fluent in Russian, Spanish and English.
